HANCOCK — The town of Hancock will hold its annual Town Meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11, at the Hancock Grammar School. Seating will be spaced appropriately apart in the gym and two classrooms due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The proceedings will be moderated by Gary Hunt and will be live-streamed via the online platform Zoom.
Those residents who prefer to attend Town Meeting from home can get the Zoom link from the town’s website and sign into the meeting Aug. 11. They will be able to ask questions but cannot vote remotely. They must be physically present to vote on the 82-article warrant.
“Scheduling town affairs has been a challenge for our town as well as surrounding towns,” Town Clerk Cheri Robinson said. “The cooperation and partnership that has been extended to the Hancock town staff by [school superintendent] Katrina Kane, school principal Joanne Harriman and I.T. specialist Tim Hilton has been extraordinary and greatly appreciated.”
