ELLSWORTH — Hancock County Deputy Sheriff Jeff McFarland handled a trio of motor vehicle crashes Monday afternoon in Brooklin, Deer Isle and Stonington due to snow-covered roads.
A pickup truck slid off the road and rolled over on Bay Road in Brooklin, McFarland said.
Alanie Dullas, 22, of Brooklin was driving a 2004 GMC Canyon, which sustained damage to its roof and sides, McFarland said. Dullas did not appear to be injured, but Peninsula Ambulance took her to Blue Hill Memorial Hospital to be checked, the deputy said.
An hour later, a pickup truck on the South Deer Isle Road in Deer Isle slid off the road and rolled due to slush-covered road conditions, McFarland said.
Devin Carlisle, 18, of Stonington was driving a 2000 GMC 1500, which sustained damage to its roof and passenger front end, the deputy said.
McFarland summoned Carlisle on a charge of operating without a license.
Thirty minutes after the Deer Isle crash, a car slid off Oceanville Road in Stonington and struck a rock, McFarland said.
Bradley Heanssler, 22, of Deer Isle was driving a 2003 Ford Focus, which sustained damage to its passenger side, the deputy said.
A sport utility vehicle was damaged after hitting a deer on Mud Creek Road in Hancock Sunday, Deputy Eric McLaughlin reported.
Theodore Duffy, 60, of Sullivan was driving a 2011 Jeep Patriot, which sustained damage to its grill, hood and “inner structure,” McLaughlin said. Duffy tried to avoid the deer but was not able to.
A Bucksport woman called police Friday to report that a Blue Hill man was suicidal. Deputy Ben Astbury found the man and drove him to a hospital for treatment.
Deputy Dana Austin aided the Bucksport Police Department with a suicidal man, who was located and taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center.
A woman overdosed on drugs at a Hancock residence Sunday. An ambulance took her to Maine Coast Memorial Hospital. A deputy responded to the residence but took no further action.
Deputy Luke Gross is investigating a theft complaint in Dedham.
A deputy helped the Ellsworth Police Department find a suspect in a hit-and-run accident Saturday. The motorist was found in Blue Hill.
