Hancock County Sheriff’s Log: Snowy Monday results in crashes

ELLSWORTH — Hancock County Deputy Sheriff Jeff McFarland handled a trio of motor vehicle crashes Monday afternoon in Brooklin, Deer Isle and Stonington due to snow-covered roads.

A pickup truck slid off the road and rolled over on Bay Road in Brooklin, McFarland said.

Alanie Dullas, 22, of Brooklin was driving a 2004 GMC Canyon, which sustained damage to its roof and sides, McFarland said. Dullas did not appear to be injured, but Peninsula Ambulance took her to Blue Hill Memorial Hospital to be checked, the deputy said.

An hour later, a pickup truck on the South Deer Isle Road in Deer Isle slid off the road and rolled due to slush-covered road conditions, McFarland said.

Devin Carlisle, 18, of Stonington was driving a 2000 GMC 1500, which sustained damage to its roof and passenger front end, the deputy said.

McFarland summoned Carlisle on a charge of operating without a license.

Thirty minutes after the Deer Isle crash, a car slid off Oceanville Road in Stonington and struck a rock, McFarland said.

Bradley Heanssler, 22, of Deer Isle was driving a 2003 Ford Focus, which sustained damage to its passenger side, the deputy said.
