ELLSWORTH — Hancock County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Tim Cote is investigating a camp burglary in Osborn that was reported Friday.
Assault
Deputy Brian Archer arrested Katerina Quint, 24, of Trenton on a charge of assault Friday.
Archer said Quint allegedly assaulted someone at a Trenton business.
Citizen assist
Deputies Jeff McFarland and Fred Ehrlenbach responded to a Blue Hill residence Saturday after a man called to report his 12-year-old son was out of control and throwing things.
McFarland said when they arrived, the boy had calmed down. No further action was taken.
Deputy Corey Bagley checked on a Hancock rental property Friday for a landlord who suspected someone may be living in the residence illegally. Bagley said he saw signs that someone has been staying there.
Theft
Bagley is investigating a theft of a motor vehicle, a green 2010 Subaru Outback, that was stolen while parked at a Franklin residence Sunday.
OUI detail
Deputy Dana Austin summoned Gary Newbegin, 66, of Sedgwick on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant Saturday.
Summonses
Police summoned Eric Osier, 29, of Sullivan on a charge of possession of a usable amount of marijuana after a motor vehicle stop on Route 1 in Sullivan Saturday.
Police summoned Timothy Roberts, 31, of Franklin on charges of operating after suspension and violating conditions of release during a motor vehicle stop Sunday in Gouldsboro.
Accidents
A truck went off the road and struck a utility pole after losing control on a sharp curve on Route 15 in Little Deer Isle Saturday, McFarland reported. The motorist then left the scene, he said.
Jesse Dow, 23, of Brooklin was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado, which sustained damage to its passenger side front end, the deputy said.
McFarland summoned Dow on a charge of leaving the scene of a property damage accident.
A car swerved, left the road and flipped onto its roof after its driver rounded a corner and unexpectedly encountered another vehicle leaving a driveway on Gilpin Road in Orland Friday, Archer reported.
Theresa Yori, 31, of Blue Hill was driving a 2011 Ford Fiesta, which was a total loss, Archer said.
