SOUTHWEST HARBOR — A monthly Green and Lean Discussion Series kicks off at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 22 at St. John’s Episcopal Church on Main Street.
Sponsored by the church, ROOTs and the Sierra Club, the discussion series will focus on sustainable and frugal methods for living well. The topic of the first meeting is “Solar Power Made Simple.” Daryl DeJoy of Penobscot Solar Design will lead the discussion, which will focus on generating electricity using solar panels.
Organizers say the purpose of the series is to provide information about reducing consumption, increasing understanding of energy-saving technology and saving money. For more information, contact Erika Shriner at 244-3536.
