Gouldsboro Police log week of March 3

GOULDSBORO — The origin of gunshots heard last Thursday in the West Bay Road area could not be found after Sgt. Adam Brackett and Officer Landan Scott searched the area.

Several local residents were interviewed and reported that the gunfire sounded like it was coming from the Corea Road. The source of the noise, however, was not found, according to police reports.

Hospital transfer

A Feb. 27 well-being check by Gouldsboro Police Chief Pat McNulty resulted in a Gouldsboro Point resident opting to go for evaluation to Northern Light Maine Coast Hospital in Ellsworth. The person was transported by Schoodic EMS in an ambulance. Winter Harbor Police Officer Eli Brown assisted.

Security checks

Last week, Officer Scott conducted various security checks at properties in Corea village and elsewhere in town.
