ELLSWORTH — Glimpse into the city’s past in “Looking Back: Ellsworth at 250,” a 16-minute video produced by Hancock County Technical Center media communications students.

The video features a slideshow of old photographs of Ellsworth and interviews with local historians, officials and residents.

“I think Ellsworth is by far the best community to be born in, to be educated in, to work in, to retire in and to die in,” Thelma Beal, event coordinator for the Ellsworth 250 Committee, said in her on-camera interview.

Ellsworth’s sestercentennial celebration will be held July 20-27. Find a full list of events at http://ellsworth250.com/site/.
