Dyon’s tapas restaurant has partnered with the Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center to give back to the community though its healthy menu options.
Starting Nov. 9, ten percent of Dyon’s revenue will go to the Beth Wright Center, at least through the month of February.
“At Dyon’s, our menu has been carefully designed to comport with the American Cancer Society-recommended guidelines,” said owner Dr. George Peters. He said that the menu focuses on natural and organic ingredients, whole grains, vegetables and low-fat meats and fish.
Dyon’s next door neighbors, Salon 78 and the Ellsworth Tennis Center, are also raising money for the Beth Wright Center. Salon 78 raised several hundred dollars during its Halloween campaign.
The Ellsworth Tennis Center will hold a tournament called The Equalizer on Jan. 9, in honor of Barbara Kent, who died two years ago due to complications from her breast cancer treatment.
Dyon’s, Salon 78 and the Ellsworth Tennis Center are located at 35 Eastward Lane. Dyon’s is open from 5:30-9 p.m. on weekdays, year-round. For more information or reservations, call 664-6116. To sign up for The Equalizer tournament, call the Tennis Center at 664-0400.
