TREMONT — Voters here will weigh in on a proposed wind power ordinance and changes to the harbor management ordinance and the wharf and facilities ordinance at a special town meeting set for 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21 at the town office.
Selectmen had been planning to hold the special town meeting on Sept. 20 but revised the date during their meeting Monday to accommodate planning board members who are attending a Maine Municipal Association seminar in Ellsworth that night. Selectmen voted 5-0 to include the proposed changes on the warrant for the special town meeting.
On Aug. 18, the town’s planning board, which is proposing the wind power ordinance, and the harbor committee, which is proposing the changes to the two harbor-related ordinances, held a public hearing on the issues at the town office. Although several members of the public attended the meeting, there was no comment – pro or con.
