The University of Maine in Orono has announced its spring 2020 dean’s list.

Bar Harbor Bank & Trust has named seven high school graduates from Maine as recipients of the bank’s 2020 Career & Technical Education Scholarship. The $1,500 award is presented to students in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont who attended a technical career program as part of their high school curriculum and are planning to attend college or a technical school after graduation.

Local students earning the scholarship include:

  • Haley Batson of Addison. Batson is a 2020 graduate of Narraguagus Junior/Senior High School and was enrolled at the Hancock County Technical Center. She will be attending the University of Maine at Farmington, enrolled in the elementary education program.
  • Reese Brown of Cherryfield. Brown is a 2020 graduate of Narraguagus Junior/Senior High School. She attained the Certified Residential Medication Aide (CRMA) license. She will be attending Husson University, enrolled in the pharmacy program.
  • Jenna French of Ellsworth. French is a 2020 graduate of Summer Memorial High School and was enrolled at the Hancock County Technical Center. She will be attending Universal Technical Institute, enrolled in the auto/diesel technical program.
  • Race Parsons of Bar Harbor. Parsons is a 2020 graduate of Mount Desert Island High School and was enrolled at Hancock County Technical Center. He will be attending Johnson & Wales, enrolled in the baking and pastry arts program.
  • Justice Rotta-Butler of Trenton. She is a 2020 graduate of Ellsworth High School and was enrolled at Hancock County Technical Center. She will be attending Eastern Maine Community College, enrolled in the culinary arts program.

 

The University of Maine at Farmington has announced its dean’s list for the spring 2020 semester.

The following area students were named to the list: Keely McConomy, Ana Rogers, Jordan Seavey, Bar Harbor; Melanie Hipsky, Blue Hill; Kristina Cloutier, Bucksport; Brittney Church, Columbia Falls; Callie Hammer, Katherine Hammer, Leah Stevens, Ellsworth; Gwyneth Ash, Franklin; Cheyenne Strine, Regan Vancil, Holden; Mackenzie Dyer, Lauren Hanna, Sullivan; Hailey Craig, Trenton.

Isla Brownlow of Blue Hill, Aaron Kircheis of Bucksport, Noah Robidoux of Ellsworth, Celeste Mittelhauser of Gouldsboro and Katelynn Bagley of Hancock were named to the dean’s list for the spring 2020 semester at the University of Southern Maine.

Edward Geary of Southwest Harbor was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2020 semester at the University of Connecticut in Storrs, Conn.

Payton Faulkner of Ellsworth was named to the president’s list for the spring 2020 semester at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Ala.

Julianne R. Wheeler of Ellsworth was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2020 semester at Boston University. Wheeler graduated in May with a Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Studies degree.
