Husson University in Bangor recently announced its spring 2019 president’s list.

Students who make the president’s list must carry at least 12 graded credit hours during the semester and earn a grade point average of 3.80 to 4.0 during the period.

Chelsea Elizabeth Alley of Winter Harbor received a Bachelor of Arts degree in environmental studies during Hollins (Va.) University’s 177th commencement ceremony on May 26. She graduated summa cum laude. She was also named to the dean’s list for the 2019 spring semester. To attain this distinction, students must earn at least a 3.5 average on a 4.0 grading scale.

Alley is the daughter of Jeff and Angela Alley of Winter Harbor. She graduated from Sumner Memorial High School.

Hollins is an independent liberal arts university offering undergraduate education to women, selected graduate programs for men and women and community outreach initiatives. Founded in 1842 as Virginia’s first chartered women’s college, its distinctions include a nationally ranked creative writing program, one of the oldest study abroad programs in the country, and extensive internship opportunities.
