Amanda Boyd of Dedham and Erin White of Lamoine were named to the dean’s list for the 2018 spring semester at Colby-Sawyer College in New London, N.H.
To qualify for the dean’s list, students must achieve a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale while carrying a minimum of 12 credit hours in graded courses.
Two Hancock County residents were recently initiated into the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines.
Cheryl Coffin of Surry was initiated at the University of Maine.
Kathleen Murphy of Bass Harbor was also initiated at the University of Maine.
Membership is by invitation only and requires nomination and approval by a chapter. Only the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors are eligible for membership.
Three area students were recently named to the dean’s list for the winter semester at Bates College in Lewiston.
Abbey Frost is a 2016 graduate of George Stevens Academy. Anna Kreitzer is a 2015 graduate of Ellsworth High School. Nathaniel Stephenson a 2014 graduate of Ellsworth High School.
