RSU 24 providing free meals during school closures

SULLIVAN — Regional School Unit 24 Nutrition Services will be providing free meals to children under the age of 18 during the unanticipated school closures. Children do not have to attend RSU 24 schools to be eligible.

The meals were set to begin Wednesday, March 18, and end April 3

In addition to the district’s school sites, RSU 24 buses will be delivering meals to homes and other places that they regularly stop.

Meals will be provided outside the school buildings. Participating locations are Cave Hill School, Ella Lewis School, Mountain View School and Peninsula School. Breakfast will be offered from 8-8:30 a.m. and lunch will be offered from noon-12:30 p.m. Both breakfast and lunch may be picked up at the same time. On Fridays, children may take meals for the weekend.

For RSU 24-designated bus stops, busses will start delivering by 11 a.m.
