ELLSWORTH — Anticipating a state budget curtailment of about $1.3 million, Regional School Unit 24 officials have fast forwarded efforts to further consolidate central office services.
Superintendent Bill Webster announced the elimination of three central office positions Tuesday. Cut were a special education secretary (the post is currently unfilled), an administrative assistant to a superintendent effective immediately and an accounting specialist effective Dec. 1. Webster said officials hope to offer the administrative assistant another position within the RSU.
