Ellsworth High School 2018 honor parts announced

Valedictorian Christa Ouellette

ELLSWORTH — Ellsworth High School has announced the honor parts for the Class of 2018.

Valedictorian Christa Ouellette will graduate with a 100.15 grade point average and plans to attend Colby College. Christa is a talented actress and has participated in the fall musicals, one-act plays and has created major pieces of art.

Ouellette was one of the “Cell Block Tango” girls in “Chicago,” Andrina in “The Little Mermaid,” and was part of the ensemble in “Secret of the Wings,” which won a the One Act State Title in Class B State Championships, and went on to participate in the New England Theatre Festival.

Ouellette will receive an honors diploma and is a member of the National Honor Society as well as the National Arts Honor Society. She is also a historian for the International Thespian Society and co-treasurer of the National Arts Honor Society, as well as the recipient of the Maine Principals’ Award representing Ellsworth High School.

She is the daughter of Lorraine and Chris Ouellette of Ellsworth.

Salutatorian Fiona Tucker will graduate with a 100.09 grade point average and plans to attend Christopher Newport University in Virginia this coming fall.

Tucker will graduate with a visual and performing arts diploma. She is a member of the National Honor Society, and will receive an honors diploma.

Tucker is the senior class secretary, president of the French Club, secretary of Student Council, president of the Thespian Society and vice president of Tri-M Music Honor Society.

She is the daughter of Jody Wolford-Tucker and Stephen Tucker of Ellsworth.
