Earth Week Film

BAR HARBOR — As part of Earth Week events, the Bar Harbor Conservation Commission is showing the documentary “Addicted to Plastic” at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 26 at Reel Pizza.

The film shows how plastic has moved through the environment and what that means for the planet. “Addicted To Plastic” encompasses three years of filming in 12 countries on five continents, including two trips to the middle of the Pacific Ocean where plastic debris accumulates.

Following the movie, there will be an opportunity for discussion. Admission is free, but the Conservation Commission is suggesting a $5 donation, which will be given to Allied Whale in Bar Harbor, whose staff rescues sea mammals, many of whom have eaten or been entangled by plastic products.

For information call Jill Weber at 460-7250.
