Deputy Clerk Hired

BAR HARBOR — Bar Harbor resident Gary Mohr has been hired as the town’s new deputy clerk.

He will begin on Tuesday, Jan. 3. Mr. Mohr at one time owned the Whale Watch Company at One West St. before he sold it to Marc Brent, who later sold it to Tom Walsh. Mr. Mohr has assisted at election time since 2008, town clerk Pat Gray said, and is familiar with local government and knows a number of residents. Mr. Mohr takes the place of Jane Iverson, who left the job earlier this fall.
