ELLSWORTH — A local woman was arrested Monday after she allegedly stole a check and used the money to buy a new Mazda at a Bangor car dealership, police reported.
Dawn Kennedy — HANCOCK COUNTY JAIL
Kennedy allegedly stole a check from the UPS Store in Ellsworth in the amount of $11,250 and deposited it in another person’s account, Small said. The money was used to obtain a fraudulent loan for the vehicle, which police have recovered.
Kennedy’s initial court date in Hancock County Superior Court is July 23.
