Winter Harbor Police Log Week of March 21



WINTER HARBOR — On March 8, police assisted Gouldsboro police in a search for a white Dodge Caravan that almost hit another vehicle on Route 1 in Gouldsboro.

The complainant claimed the driver of the van was on the phone texting. Warden Dave Simmons of the Maine Warden Service later stopped the vehicle on the Village Road.

On March 11, police responded to a high-speed pursuit taking place in Sullivan and heading Downeast. As police were responding, the vehicle being pursued came to a stop in Sullivan.

On March 14, police assisted at a traffic accident on the West Bay Road in Gouldsboro. The sole individual involved was transported to Northern Light Maine Coast Hospital with head injuries.

CPR effort

On March 9, police assisted Gouldsboro police and rescue services in performing CPR on an individual on the West Bay Road in Gouldsboro.

The woman did not survive.

Register your dogs

On March 5, police notified town residents who had failed to license their dogs that they were required to do so by a certain date as per Maine State law.
