Winter Harbor Police Log Week of Feb. 1

WINTER HARBOR — Prior to the arrest of a Gouldsboro resident for issuing a false report, police assisted the Gouldsboro Police Department in investigating a crash scene on Jan. 25.

Suspicious lights

On Jan. 24, police checked and secured an empty house that had lights turned on. The property owner was notified.


A local woman needed assistance in dealing with a family issue on Jan. 18. Police spoke to her and referred her to The Next Step, a domestic violence prevention organization.

False call

Police said a 2-year-old was playing with a cell phone and accidentally dialed 911. The family was notified, and the toddler had the phone taken away.
