Severe sanctions for vandals are unlikely

BAR HARBOR — Mount Desert Island High School officials are not seeking harsh punishment for five students arrested for allegedly breaking into the school in the early morning hours of May 31 and dumping several buckets of lobster bait in the halls.

Each of the five students was arrested on felony charges of burglary and aggravated criminal mischief.
