Pretty Marsh crash turns ugly

MOUNT DESERT — A Tremont man is facing a drunk-driving charge as the result of a single-vehicle accident early Sunday on the Pretty Marsh Road.

Paul Cote, 28, of Tremont, was arrested on charges of operating while under the influence (OUI) and operating after habitual offender license revocation after his vehicle went off the road near Pond’s End.

Cote was arrested later that morning by Bar Harbor police and charged with criminal trespass and violating the conditions of his bail after allegedly breaking into his own truck at the MDI Towing impound lot on Russell Farm Road in Bar Harbor.
