ELLSWORTH — Ellsworth Police Officer Andrew Weatherbee rescued a 33-year-old Tremont man from a burning vehicle on Bayside Road Sunday morning.
Weatherbee broke out a rear window in order to pull Shaun Parsons, 33, to safety.
Parsons was taken by LifeFlight to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. His injuries did not appear to be life-threatening, according to police.
The single-vehicle accident was reported at 6:35 a.m.
