Police investigating suspicious death in Stonington

STONINGTON — The Maine State Police said Tuesday morning that the death of a man inside a home in Stonington is being considered suspicious.

Spokesman Steve McCausland said the man’s body was found inside a residence at 44 Weed Field Road around 2 p.m. Monday.

“The man’s body was transported to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Augusta for an autopsy that will take place this morning,” McCausland said. “Detectives and evidence technicians remained at the home during the night and that work will continue today.”

Detectives are asking anyone with information about the case to call the state police in Bangor at 973-3700.
