Minor injuries reported in Trenton crash

TRENTON — A head-on collision on Route 3 Wednesday at 8:45 a.m. snarled traffic and began after a Bangor motorist experienced a medical event, the Maine State Police reported.

Trooper Travis Chapman said a Buick sedan driven by Ashot Tadevosyan, 59, of Bangor crossed the centerline and struck the rear of a northbound vehicle. The Buick then crossed back over the centerline and hit a southbound guardrail before hitting an Audi sport utility vehicle head-on, Chapman said.

No word before press time on the other motorists involved.

Ashot suffered minor injuries in the crash, Chapman said. “The occupants of the other vehicles were uninjured.”

Chapman said Route 3 traffic was reduced to one lane while the investigation was ongoing. All occupants had been wearing their seatbelts.
