Man Faces the Music After Noisy Band Practice



ELLSWORTH — A noisy garage band practice landed a local man in jail Sunday night.

Officer Christopher Smith responded to a neighbor’s complaint about Eric Cammack, 31, and his band playing too loudly.

Cammack, who had received previous warnings to turn down the music, was summoned on a charge of disorderly conduct.

Officer Smith advised Cammack to keep the volume down or face more charges and/or an arrest.

After leaving the residence, the officer waited nearby for a few minutes and heard the noisy music resume.

He returned and arrested Cammack on a charge of disorderly conduct.

Assault

A Hancock County Jail inmate was charged with assault Oct. 6 after allegedly assaulting a corrections officer.

Samantha McGuire, 52, of Ellsworth was summoned on a charge of assault.

BB Damage

An Oak Street resident reported his window was shattered by a BB Oct. 9.

Police determined that an 18-year-old neighbor had mistakenly shot the house twice and the window once.

The young man came to an agreement with the homeowner to repair the damage.

Theft

An Ellsworth woman has been charged with two counts of theft for allegedly stealing two stereo systems from a local business on separate occasions.

Kayla Hutchinson, 24, of Ellsworth was charged after attempting to return one of the stolen stereos for a refund.

As the result of video surveillance, police determined Hutchinson had committed both thefts.

Police are investigating an Oct. 8 report that a man removed the price tag from an article of clothing, put the clothing on and left a local store without paying.

Money was reported stolen from a wallet in a vehicle on Christian Ridge Road Oct. 5.

Eric Goode, 23, Ellsworth, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant.

Helen Grassi, 27, Boston, criminal speeding.  Grassi was traveling 75 miles per hour in a 40-mph zone on Bangor Road Oct. 7.

Craig Golden, 27, Ellsworth, operating after suspension, expired inspection sticker and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

Ann Becker, 69, Ellsworth, passing a stopped school bus with lights flashing.

Mark Briggs, 52, Surry, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant.

Matthew Lafountain, 27, Ellsworth, warrant.

Heather Barnes, 28, Ellsworth, operating after suspension.

Leonard Wouters, 58, Franklin, failure to register vehicle greater than 150 days.

Jennifer Moon, 22, Seal Cove, operating after suspension.

Devon Martin, 23, Ellsworth, furnishing liquor to a minor.

Curtis Knudsen, 20, Gouldsboro, possession by consumption of liquor by a minor.

Boy, 17, Sullivan, possession by consumption of liquor by a minor.

Dog Bite

A child was taken to the hospital after being bitten by the family dog Oct. 10.

The dog was confined for observation.
