DEDHAM — A driver who told police he crashed his car while on his cell phone arguing with his wife was arrested Jan. 10 on an alleged drunk-driving charge.
Steven Tartaglia, 36, of Hampden was arrested on a charge of operating while under the influence (OUI) and taken to the Hancock County Jail in Ellsworth, where he additionally was summoned on charges of leaving the scene of a property damage accident and failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle.
According to the report, Tartaglia was northbound on Route 1 in Dedham when his 2008 Toyota drifted off the road and into a ditch.
