Man Arrested on Bail Violation Charge



GOULDSBORO — A man from the village of Prospect Harbor was arrested Sept. 15 on a charge of violating a condition of release, police said.

Police said Robert Meyers, 55, violated a court order forbidding him from having contact with his former wife.

State police asked local police to assist in making the arrest and Meyers was transported to Hancock County Jail, police said.

911 Call

A 30-year-old man called 911 Sept. 18 and said he needed help from the Steuben Fire Department and the Gouldsboro Police Department because he was in trouble, police said.

Police said when they went to the man’s home on Route 1 they found nothing awry.

Police said the man had not been taking his medication and they urged him to seek care at the Eleanor Widener Dixon Memorial Clinic.

Missing Dog

A 51-year-old West Bay Road woman told police Sept. 16 that her red-and-brown female dachshund was missing, police said.

Police said they told the woman they would check the area for the dog, which she said was wearing a black-and-white collar.
