Man accused of threatening to burn down officer’s house



BAR HARBOR — A Bar Harbor man is accused of terrorizing following an early-morning dirt bike ride to the home of an on-duty police officer on July 12.

Police say Brian Harding, 25, of Bar Harbor, was intoxicated when he was stopped by Officer Soren Sundberg on the driveway of a Gilbert Farm Road home owned by Bar Harbor Police Officer Sundberg. Harding allegedly threatened to burn down the officer’s house, and made reference to a number of people ready to take similar action. He was charged with operating under the influence, violating the conditions of his bail and terrorizing.
