Man accused of threatening former employer on social media

ELLSWORTH — An Ellsworth man was arrested Friday after allegedly posting threatening messages directed at his former employer on social media.

The Gouldsboro Police Department received a report from a local business on Nov. 7 that Angel Luis Valle Rodriguez, 47, of Ellsworth and Puerto Rico was communicating threats to his former manager.

Police said some of the images showed Rodriguez, described as a “disgruntled former employee,” holding a handgun, which was later determined to be a BB gun.

Police conducted an investigation and, with the assistance of the Ellsworth Police Department, executed a search warrant on Winkumpaugh Road in Ellsworth.

Rodriguez was charged with Class C terrorizing and transported to Hancock County Jail.
