Maine State Police Washington County log week of Oct. 10

MACHIAS — The Maine State Police charged two Princeton residents after investigating a complaint of an assault of two flaggers at a road construction site in Princeton Oct. 1.

Sawyer summoned Dean Francis, 60, on charges of criminal mischief, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and failure to yield right of way in a construction site.

Sawyer summoned Edna Sabattis, 23, on a charge of assault.


Cpl. Micah Perkins arrested Ralph Kierstead, 71, of Pembroke on a charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm Oct. 3.

Perkins was investigating an incident allegedly involving Kierstead firing a gun.

Sgt. Jeff Ingemi, Trooper Keith York, the Pleasant Point Police Department and the Eastport Police Department assisted.


Perkins is investigating the theft of an ATM card that had been forgotten in the ATM machine at a Lubec bank Oct. 3.

“The card was later attempted to have been used at a local restaurant,” Perkins said. “The suspect was in a vehicle with Quebec plates.”
