Steuben man charged with threatening teens
MACHIAS — The Maine State Police arrested a Steuben man after he allegedly used a 9-millimeter pistol to threaten three teenagers riding all-terrain vehicles Aug. 13.
Troopers Jeffrey Taylor and Travis Chapman arrested David West, 64, on a charge of criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon.
“One of the teens recorded the incident on his phone,” police said. “David was taken into custody without incident, and assisted in locating the pistol.”
Cpl. Micah Perkins arrested Jennifer Belyea, 34, of Smyrna Mills on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant after a traffic stop in Bridgewater Aug. 14.
Belyea also was summoned on a charge of operating after suspension. Sgt. Jeff Clark assisted.
Trooper Jeffrey Taylor is investigating a complaint that two windows were shot with a BB gun at an Addison Property between 8 p.m. Aug. 12 and noon on Aug. 14.
