ELLSWORTH — The Maine State Police charged two people who were using a front-end loader to tow a mobile home down Route 182 in Franklin Oct. 8.
“Trooper Dana Austin responded to the scene and located the mobile home blocking most of the roadway,” police reported. “The mobile home struck a guardrail and damaged a mailbox in the short distance that Trooper Austin was behind it.”
The Franklin Volunteer Fire Department helped get the home off the roadway and parked at the Franklin Community Center.
Austin summoned Augustus Edgerton, 49, of Carmel on a charge of operating without a license.
Trooper Joshua Deangelo charged Sarah Day, 28, of Franklin with not having proper permits for transporting the mobile home.
Trooper Gavin Endre arrested a Jonesboro motorist after an encounter at the Ellsworth Market Place on State Street Oct. 10.
Endre arrested Courtney Raymond, 24, on a warrant. Endre also summoned Raymond on a charge of operating after revocation.
A traffic stop in Hancock Oct. 10 led to an arrest.
Endre arrested operator David Briggs, 37, of Hancock on a warrant. Briggs also was summoned on charges of operating after suspension and attaching a false registration.
School bus violation
Trooper Owen Reed is investigating an incident in Deer Isle Friday in which a vehicle passed a stopped school bus that had its lights flashing.
