Maine State Police Log week of Nov. 28



ELLSWORTH — The Maine State Police charged two men after investigating a crash in Castine last Friday in which the operator reportedly fled the scene.

Trooper Owen Reed summoned Nicholas Thorne, 20, of Steep Falls on charges of failure to report an accident by quickest means and criminal conspiracy.

Reed also summoned Carter Jordan, 21, of Turner on a charge of hindering apprehension or prosecution.

More arrests

Police arrested a man who was allegedly “heavily intoxicated and causing a disturbance” in Hancock Nov. 20.

Trooper Gavin Endre charged Ryan Kidder, 18, of Hancock with violating conditions of his release.

Hancock County Sheriff’s deputies assisted.
