ELLSWORTH — The Maine State Police arrested two motorists on charges of impaired operation last Friday.
A complaint about an intoxicated driver in Sullivan led to charges for a Sullivan man.
Trooper Dana Austin and Maine Marine Patrol Officer Tim Cormier found the motorist, who they said was “uncooperative,” on a tote road.
Ricky Skillings, 42, was charged with OUI, operating after habitual offender revocation, unlawful drug possession and refusing to submit to arrest.
Sgt.Tim Varney and the Maine Warden Service assisted.
Trooper Caleb McGary arrested Georgie Connell, 21, of Hancock on charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant and violating conditions of release after a crash in Dedham.
Driving to endanger
McGary summonsed a Charleston youth on charges of criminal speed and driving to endanger after a traffic stop in Dedham on July 23. The youth was allegedly traveling 98 miles per hour in a 55-mile-per-hour zone, police said.
Tyler Harmon, 31, of Dedham was summoned on a charge of driving to endanger after a traffic stop in Dedham on Saturday.
Trooper Blaine Silk responded to a theft complaint at a business in Orland on Saturday. As a result of the investigation, an employee of the business, Catherine O’Donnell, 31, of Orland, was charged with theft, police said.
Campaign signs were stolen from the town of Hancock on Sunday. McGary is investigating.
McGary is investigating damage to a Mariaville garage window, which was reported Sunday.
