ELLSWORTH — The Maine State Police charged two people after investigating a theft of money from a vehicle parked at the Blue Hill Walgreens Sunday.
Trooper Owen Reed summoned Jennifer Newbury, 40, of Sedgwick on a charge of theft. Reed summoned Sandra Dembowski, 34, of Blue Hill on a charge of operating after suspension.

Arrests
Trooper Kim Sawyer arrested Wayne Clossey, 31, of Dennysville on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant (drugs) Sunday in Charlotte.
Sawyer found Clossey’s vehicle stopped in the middle of the road and Clossey “slumped over the wheel,” police said. Clossey failed field sobriety tests, police said.
Sgt. Greg Sawyer and Washington County Deputy Sheriff Ashley Seiler assisted.
Vehicle theft
Cpl. Micah Perkins is investigating a theft of a vehicle taken from an Alexander residence during the night Saturday. The vehicle was later found nearby in a snowbank.
