ELLSWORTH — The Maine State Police handled a rollover crash that occurred on Route 9 in Amherst on Nov. 27 and injured the driver.
Troopers Miles Carpenter and Gavin Endre investigated the accident, which occurred just west of the Amherst General Store. Police said there is ledge on both sides of the road there.
The westbound vehicle struck the ledge on both sides of the road before coming to rest on its roof, troopers said. An ambulance took the driver to a hospital.
Summonses
Trooper Dana Austin summoned Sidney Griffin, 50, of Franklin on charges of operating after suspension and attaching false plates on Mud Creek Road in Hancock Nov. 26.
Trooper Caleb McGary summoned Wayne Hanscom, 48, of Verona Island on a charge of criminal speed after a traffic stop in Verona Island Nov. 27. Hanscom was allegedly traveling 65 miles per hour in a 30-mile-per-hour zone, police said.
