Maine State Police Log Week of Aug. 26



ELLSWORTH — Troopers arrested a Sullivan woman on Aug. 17 after investigating a hit-and-run crash in Sullivan.

Julie Nevells, 46, was arrested on charges of operating under the influence and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.

Arrests

On Saturday, Trooper Dana Austin stopped a motor vehicle for a suspected traffic violation on Route 9 in Osborn. As the result of the investigation, Anthony Bee, 48, of Mississippi was arrested on an OUI charge. The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office assisted.

A Stonington man was arrested Sunday after Trooper Owen Reed and Sgt. Jeff Ingemi responded to a 911 call from Stonington. Bradford Rice, 48, was arrested on a charge of violating conditions of release.

Summons

Trooper Keith York responded to Oqiton Township in northern Hancock County Aug. 22 for a report that a man had tampered with a generator and drove a truck into a lake. As a result of the investigation, Christopher Grant, 20, of Calais was summoned on a charge of violating of conditions of release. The Maine Warden Service assisted.

Criminal mischief

Cpl. Micah Perkins responded Aug. 18 to a criminal mischief complaint in Alexander, where a school window was damaged. The investigation continues.

Theft

Perkins also is investigating a theft complaint in Princeton reported Aug. 23. A vehicle was damaged, and items inside were taken.
