ELLSWORTH — The Maine State Police charged two people with assault in unrelated incidents Friday and Saturday.
Trooper Dana Austin arrested Russell Merchant, 60, of Franklin on a charge of assault Friday.
Austin summoned Paul Wikert, 42, of Ellsworth on a charge of assault in Hancock Saturday. Hancock County Sheriff’s deputies assisted.
Arrest
Jessica Sinclair, 34, of Franklin was arrested on a charge of violating conditions of her release in Ellsworth Friday.
