Maine State Police Log: Burglary at Blue Hill church under investigation

ELLSWORTH — Maine State Police Cpl. Dan Ryan is investigating a burglary of a safe from the Blue Hill Congregational Church.

Ryan said entry to the building was made through an unlocked door and a door to the treasurer’s office was forced open. The burglary was reported July 13.

Trooper Caleb McGary is investigating a theft of a 9-millimeter handgun, which was taken from a vehicle during the week of July 4.

McGary summoned Burhan Uddin, 44, of New York on a charge of possession of a usable amount of marijuana. The charge was a result of a traffic stop on Route 1A in Ellsworth Friday.
