ELLSWORTH — The Maine State Police are investigating a theft of $100,000 worth of jewelry from a Lamoine residence.
The burglary was reported Aug. 18.
Trooper Greg Mitchell is investigating. Detective Jay Pelletier assisted as an evidence response technician at the scene.
Trooper Christopher Smith is investigating a burglary at a Fletcher’s Landing camp on Hanelei Drive. Several items were taken including a global positioning system device and microphones.
The camp owners also have two camper trailers, located off Lois Lane, that were broken into, police said. A laptop computer and tools are missing from those.
A car was broken into while it was parked on the Olive Car Road in Mariaville Aug. 17. The owner is missing a black leather jacket with $700 cash, a black backpack as well as 105 oxycodone pills.
A Mariaville woman called for help after a man allegedly stopped at her residence wanting to buy her chickens. The chickens were not for sale and the man refused to leave, police said. The man eventually left. He was thought to be raking blueberries in the area, police said.
Police summoned an employee at the Franklin Trading Post for allegedly stealing over $1,000 in cash.
Trooper Christopher Smith summoned Kayla Spence, 18, on a charge of felony theft.
Four children’s bicycles are missing from residences on the Quarry Road and Whales Back Lane in Sullivan.
An all-terrain vehicle is missing from Brooklin.

Harold Chang, 20, Hancock, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant.
Tyler Murphy, 22, Lamoine, operating after suspension, bail violation.
Daniel Seward, 34, Hancock, bail violation.
