Hancock County Sheriff’s Log Week of Feb. 22



ELLSWORTH — Hancock County Sheriff’s Deputy Brian Archer arrested three Bucksport residents accused of burglarizing a Hancock business Feb. 15.

Archer arrested Jamie Matlack, 44, and Adam Staples, 48, each on charges of violating conditions of release, burglary and theft by unauthorized taking or transfer.

Also arrested was Megan Patten, 27, on charges of burglary and theft by unauthorized taking or transfer.

Shooting

On Friday, Lt. Corey Bagley and Deputy Jeff McFarland responded to a Blue Hill residence for a report of a man who shot himself. The man was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center, McFarland said.

The incident remains under investigation.

Unattended death

Police responded to a Gouldsboro residence Sunday for an unattended death. Deputy Eric McLaughlin said a man, 68, died from natural causes.

Accident

A woman suffered minor injuries after her car went off the road, struck an embankment and rolled on its roof Saturday on Oak Point Road in Trenton, McFarland reported.

Lisa Korey of Trenton was driving a 2007 Dodge Caliber, which had to be towed from the scene, McFarland said. County Ambulance took Korey to Maine Coast Memorial Hospital.
