Hancock County Sheriff: Distressed Plane Turns Out To Be Training Session

ELLSWORTH — A suspected plane crash in Eastbrook Monday turned out to be a pilot doing training maneuvers, according to Hancock County Sheriff’s Deputy Shane Campbell.


The Hancock County Regional Communications Center received several phone calls after Eastbrook residents saw a small plane stall and backfire, which Campbell determined was part of the training session.


Ronald Pinkham, 32, turned himself in on a warrant charging failure to appear.
