Hancock County Sheriff: Burglary at Penobscot Camp Under Investigation

ELLSWORTH — Police are investigating a burglary at a Penobscot camp that was reported May 19. The camp has sustained significant damage, police said.

Burglars broke into an Eastbrook camp causing minor damage but did not take anything.


An all-terrain vehicle valued at $3,500 was taken from a Hancock residence.


A car went off the road and struck a culvert after a motorist looked down to change a radio station on Route 230 in Trenton, police reported.

Brittany Salisbury, 19, of Longwood, Fla., had been driving north in a 1990 BMW, which sustained “heavy” front-end damage, police said.

Speed Enforcement

Deputies issued 12 speeding tickets during a speed enforcement detail on Route 1A in Dedham May 20.


Richard Jordon, 36, of Ellsworth, turned himself in on a warrant charging failure to appear.
