GOULDSBORO — A report of a fight in progress brought police to South Gouldsboro Road Aug. 2.

As a result, Michael Daniel, 28, of Gouldsboro, was charged with disorderly conduct.

Ongoing investigations

Police are investigating a report of a bad check.

A resident told police Aug. 8 the check had come from someone renting one of the resident’s properties.

Police also are investigating damage to mailboxes along South Gouldsboro Road that was reported Aug. 13. The damage appeared to have been caused by an accident that had not been reported to police.

Safety issue

Police were called Aug. 8 for a report that someone had been cutting trees and dragging them into the roadway at Gouldsboro Point Road without flaggers or signage.

The officer found a contractor using machinery to clear overgrowth and advised the contractor that warning signs were necessary.

Miscellaneous complaints

While on patrol Aug. 2, an officer found two adults and two children trespassing on posted property. They were warned not to return.

On Aug. 5, police were called for a report that a dog had been dropped off and was running in the road along Route 1. Police were able to locate the owner.

Police responded Aug. 9 to a 911 call from a residence on Maxwell Road. Further investigation revealed the call was made by children playing with the phone.
