Gouldsboro Police Log Week of Jan. 31

GOULDSBORO — On Jan. 11, as the result of a traffic stop for an expired registration on the South Gouldsboro Road, Dale Sprague, 29, of Gouldsboro was charged with operating after suspension.


On Jan. 18, police received a complaint of vandalism to the sand storage building at the former DOT office on Route 1.

A portion of the building had been cut open. The incident remains under investigation.

On Jan. 16, police took a report of vandalism on Taft Point Road. The incident was investigated and was determined to be a civil issue.


On Jan. 23, Larry Wilcox, 55, of Baileyville was traveling north on the Corea Road when he struck a deer.

There was non-functional reportable damage to the passenger side of his 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500.

There were no injuries, and the vehicle remained operational.

Loose dog

On Jan. 10, police were dispatched to a report of a large dog on the Corea Road. The dog was gone by the time the officer arrived.
