Ellsworth Police: Woman Charged with Bail Violation



ELLSWORTH — A woman whose bail conditions include a no-drinking provision was arrested after police got an anonymous tip from someone who allegedly saw her drinking at Downeast Billiards April 22, police said.

Amanda Holland, 26, of Columbia Falls was arrested at the billiards hall on a charge of violating conditions of her release.

 

Once at the Hancock County Jail, officers allegedly found OxyContin pills in her front jacket pocket.

Holland was charged with unlawful drug possession (OxyContin) and trafficking in prison contraband.

Vandalism

Police are investigating an incident at Jim’s Auto on Foster Street in which six tires were slashed.

Jim’s Auto has posted a reward leading to a positive identification of a man shown on a security camera videotape slashing two of the tires.

The business has posted a 12-second clip of the incident on the Ellsworth Police Department’s Facebook page.

Theft

A portable PlayStation, a game and a charger were taken from an Atlantic Highway residence during a family Easter egg hunt Saturday, police said.

A wheelchair valued at $200 was stolen from the Ellsworth Public Library April 20. The library keeps the wheelchair for patron use.

Police are investigating a call about a woman who allegedly caused damage by driving on a Shore Road lawn April 24.
