Ellsworth Police: Police Rescue Bird Feeder from Bear

ELLSWORTH — Police rescued a bird feeder from a bear in the early morning hours Sunday on North Street.

A resident called police just after 2 a.m. to ask if an officer could come over and bring her bird feeder in, as a bear had been trying to get it since midnight.

The resident said she moved the bear along twice but it keeps returning.

Officer Chad Wilmot retrieved the bird feeder just a couple minutes later.
