ELLSWORTH — Police spoke to a “suspicious” man who was “making inappropriate comments to women” at a local resort on Oct. 8, according to a report.

High school student warned for bullying

Officers issued a warning on Oct. 5 to an Ellsworth High School student for reportedly bullying another student.

Woman possibly overdosing found in Southwest Harbor

Police assisted the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office in attempting to locate a 32-year-old Surry woman who had possibly overdosed on pills on Oct. 7, according to a report. The woman was found in Southwest Harbor by police.

Thefts and other losses

A bike was reported stolen from High Street on Oct. 6. There are no suspects.

A local shop reported the theft of several items on Oct. 4. The alleged thief agreed to pay for the items after speaking with police.


Ellsworth police assisted the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office in arresting Mark Correia, 53, of Waltham on Oct. 7 at Northern Light Maine Coast Hospital.

Correia had been in the hospital receiving medical treatment, according to a police report, but was wanted on a charge of domestic violence assault.

“Once he was cleared medically he was arrested,” Chief Glenn Moshier said.

Misty Walker, 53, of Gouldsboro was arrested on Oct. 5 on a warrant for failure to appear on a charge of criminal trespassing.


A 16-year-old boy from Lamoine was issued a summons on Oct. 2 charging him with possession of a usable amount of marijuana.

Police received a report of a resident hunting on Oct. 6 in an area where hunting is not allowed. Officers referred the case to the Maine Warden Service, which issued a summons to the resident.
