Ellsworth Police Log Week of May 21



ELLSWORTH — On May 17, police assisted the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office in a birthday parade for a 10-year-old boy in Surry, just over the Ellsworth line, according to a report.

Medical call assist

Officers assisted Northern Light Medical Transport on a medical call on May 17.

Gunshots report

A report of gunshots on the Bangor Road on May 15 turned out to be unfounded, according to a report.

Well-being check

Officers were called to a local skilled nursing facility to check on a resident on May 15. They met the resident and found “no issues,” according to a report.

Child removed

Officers assisted the Department of Health and Human Services on May 12 as they removed a child from a local residence.

Domestic dispute

A report of a domestic violence incident on Hanson Landing on May 15 turned out to be a verbal argument. No charges were filed.

Arrests

Judith Paquet, 57, of Ellsworth was arrested on May 15 on charges of criminal trespass and violating conditions of release.

Sherman L. Merchant III, 35, of Gouldsboro was arrested on May 13 on a probation hold, according to a report.

Traffic violations

The following residents were issued summonses for alleged violations this week:

Darrell Seeley, 47, of Malden, Mass., speeding 39 mph in a 30-mph zone on State Street on May 18.

Kyle O’Brien, 24, of Bremen, speeding 76 mph in a 55-mph zone on the Bucksport Road on May 17.
