ELLSWORTH — A local woman was arrested on Jan. 17 after reportedly threatening a man with a gun during a domestic incident, according to a police report.
Ellen Somes, 51, was charged with domestic violence assault, criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon and violation of bail.
Somes was taken to Hancock County Jail and the weapon was confiscated, according to police.
Police said the victim received minor injuries and did not need medical attention.
On Jan. 17, police received a report that a man in a local hospice facility “would not let the caseworker have her phone and at one point was holding her down,” according to a report.
Officers investigated and found that the caseworker was holding the man down “because he was aggressive and very confused.”
The following day, Jan. 18, police responded to several calls to assist Northern Light Medical Transport and Emergency Care.
Around 9 a.m., officers were called to the Downeast Treatment Center on State Street to assist ambulance staff “with a patient who was aggressive and under the influence,” according to a report.
The man was taken to Northern Light Maine Coast Hospital “without incident.”
Two hours later, police assisted ambulance staff after they received a medical alarm activation but “could not get anybody to the door and didn’t see anyone inside,” officers wrote in a report.
Police went through the unlocked house with ambulance staff but didn’t find anyone. Officers said they left a business card on the stove.
Also on Jan. 18, police also responded with ambulance staff to a report of an unconscious person at a local business, according to a report.
Shawn Scott, 44, of Southwest Harbor was arrested on a charge of violation of conditions of release following a traffic stop on Jan. 15.
James Richardson, 32, of Ellsworth was arrested on Jan. 18 on charges of criminal mischief and violation of conditions of release.
Cory Sargent, 36, of Bucksport was charged with two counts of unlawful possession and violation of conditions of release after a resident reported a “suspicious male walking on an individual’s property” on Jan. 15, according to a police report.
Willard Lyons, 54, of Hancock was charged with failure to provide proof of insurance following a traffic stop on High Street on Jan. 15.
Amber Gilbert, 24, of Ellsworth was charged with failure to provide proof of insurance following a traffic stop on Main Street on Jan. 15.
Jonas Shollenbarger, 43, of Franklin was charged with consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle on a public way on State Street on Jan. 15.
Daniel Delahanty, 48, of Hampden, 34 mph in a 25-mph-zone on the Bucksport Road on Jan. 14.
